Amazing Fantasy Reviews

Amazing Adult Fantasy (re-named to simply Amazing Fantasy for its final issue due to reader feedback), was an anthology comic launched in 1961, featuring science-fiction, fantasy and mystery stories created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. The stories were similar to the kind of plots you would find on Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone, and often featured twist endings. The fifteenth and final issue saw the debut of the Amazing Spider-Man, who would go on to become one of Marvel's most popular and enduring characters.

The title was revived in 1995 and the 2000s, this time featuring superhero stories. Issues 16, 17 and 18 contained a trilogy of stories detailing the events that took place between Spider-Man's origin in issue 15, and the first issue of his solo title. These issues were written by Kurt Busiek, with artwork by Paul Lee.
